Excursion d'une journée à Saqqarah, Memphis et Dahchour

Ibrahim our guide was brilliant. He was so knowledgeable about the history of the sites. He tailored the trip to meet our needs. He was also super friendly and we genuinely had a great day talking to him. I would 100% recommend this tour. Also the car was super clean, and I felt really safe with the driver.

I paid $56 for "car + guide", discounted from $80, but it was a pretty poor value because my guide Rahim showed limited knowledge of the sites and was probably unlicensed, which is illegal. A driver alone for eight hours costs $33 from most hostels in Cairo, and I wish I did that. When I asked to see Rahim's tourism license, which all guides must study for and carry, he said he forgot it. I've since learned that some of the shadier tours in Egypt use unlicensed guides who are just relatives or laymen who know a few highlights, so it's best to keep your expectations in check. A most interesting day touring the “other” pyramids at Saqqara and Darshur as well as Memphis. Much information was provided and we were able to enter two tombs. A fantastic complement to the Giza pyramids!

Very enjoyable day out to the different pyramids and Memphis. Our guide Khloud messaged the day before to welcome us and we were picked up on time. She gave valuable information about all aspects of the tour but also allowed us to wander around by ourselves which was appreciated. The pyramids were great and you could enter inside two of them, but not for the faint hearted ! We were given adequate time to explore and our request to not visit shops was not a problem. This review is about the service and guide, and not about the places. The places are a must-visit. tldr: the experience was a 4/10 I wouldn't recommend this guide or service to another friend. Our tour was fantastic, Rana is so friendly and cheerful. Her knowledge is really adorable and she explains everything in detail but what’s good, simplified. She gave us our time to explore and enjoy the journey. She also encourages us to explore the pyramids and conquer our fears, well to experience the best of the pyramids. The tour also started on time which is great. I would definitely recommend this tour before heading to the Grand Egyptian Museum. Pick Rana for the tour for both excursions!
