Excursion d'une journée à l'oasis de Bahariya avec les déserts Noir et Blanc depuis Le Caire

Obviously the Pyramids are a must for any visit to Cairo, but i honestly enjoyed my tour to the Black and White Deserts more. I was picked up on time by my tour guide Jessi and my driver Khalid and was taken on a drive through the Egyptian Sahara. I transfered to a 4x4 driven skilfully by Waled. The scenery in the Black Desert was amazing, but the rock formations in the White Desert blew me away. The tour wrapped up with dinner back at Star Camps before a leisurely drive back to Cairo. A great tour that I would recommend without hesitation.

The trip is very long and tiring (4 hour drive out of Cairo to the desert camp, then several hours in a 4x4 car through the desert, and 5 hour drive back), but it is definitely worth it! The landscape is unique and extraterrestrial, very photogenic. Some of the guides were not very helpful, but our driver/guide Wahid was the King of the Desert! Very friendly and experinced, giving us a lot of information, stopped anytime we wanted to take a picture.

I booked the tour mainly wanting to get out to see parts of the Egyptian Desert, but was bowled over by the stunning beauty of the Blck and White Deserts. I would return again in a heartbeat, and the only change would be to overnight. The guides were great, Wadid is a long-term local and pointed out all the great features. Definitely recommended.

First of all the guide was worst person on the earth, instead of tour introduction started with tip pricing, according to him the tip should be $15 min. And also stated that should finish the trip before sunset as its not safe to travel ... which is totally hoax as we travelled through desert road on GoBus during night without issues. Second he skipped Bahariya Oasis as we didnt agreed for the tip. Third he quickly shown us the black and white desert and tried to return us back ASAP. Our guides picked us up directly at the hotel very early in the morning, we were offered a very good breakfast! We have traveled a long road which has deserved what we have discovered! We were taken to a campsite where then, our new driver (he should drive in formula 1 ;) ) took us to the black and white desert, the mountain of crystals and other incredible spots. We were even able to bathe in thermal waters. After a long day we returned to campus to eat a very generous dinner, it was the best dinner we ate during our entire stay in Egypt !
