Get to pyramids as EARLY as you can as it is really crowded, also hot. Entering inside the pyramids is extra charge, glad we didn't do it due to heat and crowd. But the views are breathtaking, once in a lifetime. Grand Egyptian Museum is amazing, beyond words! Well organized, covers all periods of ancient Egypt, original artifacts. Expect authentic but simple lunch. Amr MOSES our guide was GREAT , very friendly guide, also very knowledgeable about the history relevant to Giza pyramids, helped us take photos, and did a great job guiding us thru the Great Egyptian Museum . Everything was well organized, and our guide Ayoub made the day unforgettable. The car was amazing—comfortable and perfect for the trip. We enjoyed the sights so much and learned a lot, while also having a lot of fun together. It was a truly memorable experience that I shared with my husband, and we will treasure it forever. Highly recommended! ---

My husband and I were in Cairo for the beginning of a 10 day cruise with Viking. Although we have toured with Viking in the past, and we know they do an excellent job, we really wanted to experience the pyramids and the museum, etc., without having our itinerary dictated by 16 other people on the bus, who may or may not have the same stamina, pacing, interests, travel experience.
