On this private full-day tour from your Cairo or Giza hotel, you will leave the busy Giza streets behind and spend a day among some of Egypt’s most famous ancient sites. A private guide will explain the history and context of the monuments as you admire the three pyramids, the Sphinx and the adjoining Valley Temple. The Giza Pyramids, part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site, form the centrepiece of the visit, and you will also have the chance to ride a camel across the desert for a different view of the plateau. You will then travel on to ancient Memphis, once a royal capital, and the Saqqara burial ground, often called the city of the dead, where your guide will bring the archaeological sites and their significance to life.
