Tour to The Qaitbay Citadel in Alexandria
A trusted partner experience, hand-picked and featured on This is Egypt.

Overview
A representative will collect you from your hotel in Alexandria and take you on a short city tour that combines historic sites and seaside views. You will visit the Qaitbay Citadel, named after the Mameluke Sultan Al‑Ashraf Qaitbay and regarded as one of the Mediterranean’s important defensive strongholds. The citadel was built on the site of Alexandria’s ancient lighthouse and once formed a key part of the city’s 15th‑century fortifications, which you will learn about as you explore the exterior and immediate surroundings. You will also stop at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and spend time seeing this modern landmark. Along the way you will drive along the Corniche for sweeping views of the city, passing Stanley Bridge, a recognised landmark of modern Alexandria. The tour finishes with a return drive to your hotel.
