Before the Giza Pyramids, Egypt’s kings and nobles were buried at Saqqara, and history buffs will find the 3.5-square-mile (9-square-kilometer) site deserves serious study. Your personal Egyptologist is your guide on this private tour, which visits the on-site archaeological museum, the Step Pyramid of Djoser, the tombs of Kagemni and Mereruka, and the pyramids of Unas and Teti. Your package includes food and transfers, with Wi-Fi, but excludes entrance fees.

Terrible! Did he think we were just dumb tourists? He told us he didnt believe the earth was round, on a tour of Saqqara he ranted on about the Great Pyramid being a huge machine to generate energy and that’s how the heavy sarcophogii were moved. In the Serapeum if saqqara we were told no one had any idea if what the big sarcophogii were for and that nothing had ever been found in them and no one knew how they got there - but my previous reading indicated it was the cult of bulls and winches were found. He was a kook! I want my money back. $146 Canadian charged when reserving this trip, 2380 E
