Tour to Pyramids Sakkara Dahshur

Overview

A private tour guide and driver will collect you from your hotel in Cairo or Giza and take you south to Dahshur. There you will explore the Red Pyramid and the Bent Pyramid, part of the royal necropolis that includes the famous pyramids of King Snefru. Dahshur sits about 40 km from Cairo and offers an early glimpse of Egypt’s ancient monumental architecture. You will then visit the Step Pyramid of Zoser, the world’s oldest major stone structure, built in the 3rd Dynasty (around 2630 BC) for King Djoser. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. After lunch you will continue to the Giza plateau to see the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus. The tour also includes the Great Sphinx — a pharaoh’s head on a lion’s body dating back to the time of Chephren — and a visit to the Valley Temple associated with Chephren’s complex. At the end of the day you will be returned to your hotel in Cairo or Giza.
