Overview

On this boat trip from Sharm El Sheikh you'll head to Tiran Island for a relaxed day at sea. You will swim and snorkel among the Red Sea’s colourful fish and coral formations, admire the clear water and marine life, and relax in the sun between swims. A freshly prepared lunch is served on board, giving you time to rest and enjoy the views. Tiran is a large crescent-shaped island at the entrance to the Straits of Tiran, the channel that separates the Red Sea from the Gulf of Aqaba, which reaches depths of more than 1,800 metres. To the east you'll find an isolated lagoon of crystal-blue water with spectacular live corals unique to the Gulf of Aqaba, attracting many marine inhabitants. The reefs around Tiran are grouped into Gordon, Jackson, Thomas and Woodhouse, separated by deep crevices, and you will see why snorkelers and divers favour the island; it also has interesting historical relevance.
