The GEM Complex is now offering limited tours to test site readiness and the visitor experience ahead of the official opening. Access is currently limited to the Grand Hall, Grand Staircase, commercial area, and exterior gardens. All other interior spaces, including access to the galleries and collections, are restricted until the official opening. The Grand Egyptian Museum also known as the Giza Museum, is an archaeological museum under construction in Giza, Egypt, about 2 kilometres (1.2 miles) from the Giza pyramid complex. The Museum will host over 100,000 artifacts from ancient Egyptian civilization, including the complete Tutankhamun collection, and many pieces will be displayed for the first time. With 81,000 m2 (872,000 sq ft) of floor space, it will be the world's largest archeological museum. It is being built as part of a new master plan for the Giza Plateau, known as "Giza 2030".

Ganz hervorragende Tour durch ein beeindruckendes Museum mit sehr gutem und kompetenten Guide. Zizou ist Ägyptologe, hat ein profundes Wissen, dass er auch sehr gut vermitteln konnte. Er ließ uns in die Welt des alten Ägyptens eintauchen, er konnte alle Fragen beantworten, spricht sehr gut Englisch und obendrein ist er ein sehr sympathischer und kultivierter Mensch. Zu unserem Glück haben wir die Tour mit Zizou gebucht, können wir uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Wir haben auch andere Erfahrungen gemacht mit anderen Guides.

They have done an incredible job with this museum. We were not sure when we booked our trip that the museum would be open yet, but we lucked out with it opening weeks before we arrived. The layout and amount of artifacts already in the museum is astonishing. Our guide Zizou took us through the museum over the course of several hours. Zizou is an Egyptologist and has a vast knowledge and understanding of the history of Egypt. Despite only being in the museum a handful of times himself at that point, he gave us so much insight, answered all of our questions and was easily able to guide us throug
