Absolutely the worst, after 5 hours of endless driving in circles being lost, we only finally made it to the location to find out it was closed. So no lunch, no canal, 5 hours of driving and we ate a chicken sandwich at McDonald's.. 2 1/2 hour return to hotel. 7 1/2 hours of my life wandering the desert in Egypt.

This was a disgrace - there is no such thing as a tour of the Suez Canal - the whole experience was a sham. Luckily we had been forewarned by another tour operator in Cairo that there is no access to the Suez Canal only a ferry across BUT THAT DIDNT HAPPEN maybe. We were first shown the Red Sea and told this is the Suez Canal, so after discarding this we were taken to some Hotel and taken to the 6th Floor and told to look out the window and there was the Suez Canal and we can't getting any closer as it is a military Zone - should have told us that before we left Australia.
