St Simon Monastery ,Cave Church , Garbage City and Coptic Cairo Private day tour

Great tour of the raw and wonderful part of Egypt that most do not see. Coptic Cairo below ground was peaceful and historic with old photographs of what Egypt use to look like, a fabulous souvenir store with higher quality items than those found elsewhere and no incessant pressure to buy so you could actually enjoy shopping. The Hanging Church set upon Roman ruins was interesting and the grotto church inside Garbage City was astounding as was the story of its origin. Garbage city is not for the faint hearted. Very smelly, crowded and an experience you’ll never forget. Seems out of this world.

I had a great time, this excursion is very very interesting, Marsil, the guide is really nice and her explanations were clear. She was happy to answer all my questions as she knows a lot about her subject. I advise you, before or after the tour to visit the Coptic museum.

I picked this tour for the added sites that weren't part of our vacation itinerary. And that was accomplished. Our guide Marsil was very knowledgeable, and gave us a lot of information. Unfortunately there were 2 aspects of picking this particular tour: 1 - the owner/operator contacted my via Whatsapp and refused to take "NO" as an answer when bombarding me with other tours that he wanted to side sell to me. I didn't select this activity only to be badgered to pick something else that they provided and I didn't want! To the owner/operator: don't bother to try to excuse your badgering, you know

This tour is life changing, especially after learning about the church. Our tour guide, BisHoo, was EXCEPTIONAL. His knowledge and explanation were simply amazing. The reason I gave four stars instead of five was the company. The owner/supervisor (whoever I was communicating with) was rude, pushy, and disrespectful. He needs to learn the art of customer service, which he lacks. I hope BisHoo found a different company to work for.

A sobering experience of life in parts of Egypt where the people survive by recycling garbage to make money. There are no police and no crime. And at the end is a beautiful Koptic church carved out of a cave.
