You will visit the Pyramid and the Egyptian Museum, taking in both an iconic ancient monument and a major museum collection. At the museum you will find more than 250,000 genuine artifacts that illustrate Egypt’s long history. As you move through the galleries, you will see a wide range of objects that span different periods and styles. A highlight will be the golden collection of Tutankhamen. Tutankhamen was a young ruler of Egypt’s 18th Dynasty, and his tomb was the only royal tomb found intact. His treasures are displayed in his room on the museum’s second floor, where you can view many of the famous gold pieces associated with his burial. Along the way you will learn about the significance of these finds and how they fit into the broader story of ancient Egypt.
