Private Tour to Old Coptic Cairo & the Cave Church of St. Simon.

I recently booked a private tour of a Coptic Church in Egypt and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience with the guide, Amira. Since this was a private tour, I expected a personalized, professional, and informative experience. Instead, she was frequently on her phone and did not seem engaged. When discussing the history and significance of the church, her explanations were limited and lacked depth, which was especially disappointing given the importance and sacred nature of the site. I really enjoyed this tour. It was especially interesting to me to see what the Coptic Christians believe versus what I was taught as a Protestant westerner. A very different type of Christianity much closer to the Catholic model. My guide was outstanding, I unfortunately became a bit Ill on this tour and he was very attentive to my needs and very patient with my bad knee. Due to the fact it was Easter it was not possible to visit the cave church but we substituted the Alabaster Mosque instead which was truly beautiful and has a fascinating history.
