On this private tour, you will visit three of Egypt’s most ancient sites: the old city of Memphis, the Saqqara burial ground and the pyramids at Dahshur. The experience will take you through layers of early Egyptian history and architecture. You will explore ancient Memphis, the old capital that dates back to around 3200 BC, where you can see the ruins and learn about its role in early Egyptian civilisation. At the Saqqara burial ground you will view the famous step pyramids and the surrounding funerary complex, gaining a sense of how burial practices and pyramid construction developed. Finally, you will go to Dahshur to see the two pyramids built by King Sneferu, including a structure often described as the first true pyramid. Along the way you will move between monumental stonework and long-established archaeological sites, with time to absorb the scale and history of each place.
