Overview

A representative will pick you up from your hotel and take you on a historical journey through some of Egypt’s earliest monuments. You will visit the Step Pyramid of Zoser, the world’s oldest major stone structure, built in the 3rd Dynasty for King Djoser. As you move on to Memphis, the first capital of ancient Egypt founded by King Menes, you will explore the remnants of the city and see the statue of Ramses II alongside the alabaster Sphinx of Memphis. Later you will travel to Dahshur, a royal necropolis famous for its distinctive pyramids. There you will see the Red Pyramid and the Bent Pyramid, examples of the ambitious building projects of King Snefru. Dahshur is located approximately 40 km from Cairo. At the end of the day your representative will transfer you back to your hotel in Cairo, giving you time to reflect on the ancient sites and monuments you have explored.
