Overview

This private excursion around Egypt’s ancient capital visits three of the region’s most important archaeological sites. You will travel by air-conditioned vehicle to Saqqara to see the Step Pyramid and the surrounding necropolis often called the “city of the dead.” As you move through the site, you will have the chance to explore its ancient tombs and the early architecture that prefigured later pyramids. Along the way you will continue to Dahshur to view the Red Pyramid and the Bent Pyramid, and then on to Memphis where you will see the massive limestone statue of King Ramses II. The trip includes door-to-door hotel pickup and drop-off in an air-conditioned vehicle.
