Overview

An expert tour guide from Lily Travel will pick you up from your hotel or cruise in Luxor and transfer you across to the West Bank. The visit will take you to three notable sites on Luxor’s west side: Habu Temple, the Valley of the Queens and the Valley of the Workers at Deir el-Medina. You will start at Habu Temple, which dates back to Ramses III, and visit his palace on the West Bank. Next you will go on to the Valley of the Queens, a cemetery of rock-cut tombs for the queens and their sons that is richly decorated with detailed scenes. The tour will continue to the Valley of the Workers at Deir el-Medina, a remarkably complete village that housed the skilled craftsmen and labourers who worked on the tombs in the Valley of the Kings, the Valley of the Queens and the Valley of the Nobles. Along the way you will see ancient architecture and burial sites and gain a sense of the people who built and decorated them. Finally, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
