Private Half Day West Bank Tour to Valley of the Kings Queen Hatshepsut Temple and Colossi of Memnon

We had 2 fantastic trips with AYAD. He's very passionate and knowledgable about his countries ancient history. We loved listening to him.

Our guide was Salwa. Older lady but very knowledgeable and funny. She explained the sights very nicely and at the end took us a to a great lunch spot. She even patiently waited for us at the airport. I highly recommend this service.

Sadly we were not impressed by the guide. I feel bad leaving a negative review as she was a nice person, but she offered very limited information, no stories or overview of the history to bring it to life, and was not able to answer even basic questions. In fact we tried to bring up facts we had read prior to encourage her to bring forward more information. She just kept on telling us what dynasty the pharoahs were in, and pointing out things we could see for ourselves i.e that there were animals on the walls - but no information other than that. We were able to see the valley of kings, temple of hatshepsut and the colossi of Memnon on the trip. The guide was friendly and helpful however he struggled at times to explain in English. He did make some good recommendations on which tomb to visit etc, however he seemed to lack the passion and attention to details that many other guides were doing. There wasn't any attempts to take us to touristy shops to buy overpriced items, so that's good.

The start of the trip was delayed by more than an hour due to the driver arriving late. But the rest of it was nice.
