Private Half Day Tour to Visit East Bank Karnak & Luxor temple

Overview

Your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Luxor and take you on a private tour of the city's East Bank. As you move through the vast Karnak Temple complex devoted to the god Amun, you will explore the different temples that sit within it, including shrines to Mut (Amun’s wife) and their son Khonsu. Along the way you will see colourful painted scenes of plants and animals that decorate many of the walls and columns. You will then visit Luxor Temple, originally dedicated to Amunhotep III and completed by Ramesses II. Here you will find painted scenes related to the annual festival in which the god Amun made his journey to the temple—a ritual celebrated by the ancient Egyptians. At the end of the East Bank visit, your guide will return you to your hotel in Luxor.
