Our tour guide Fox was absolutely brilliant! He was very knowledgeable, allowed us to have lunch free of charge and took us on a boat on the Nile for a small fee. He taught us how to write our names in hieroglyphics and after we said our goodbyes, he sent us a huge amount of pictures and info about Egypt on WhatsApp. He was also an excellent photographer!
I wanted to see Cairo and wasn’t sure how safe it is for a single female traveler so I figured I’ll go for a long layover and book a private tour. The short version - I felt like a VIP guest without breaking the bank. The long version - I had Very nice and easy tour with everything included in a set price, (food, tickets, camel rides, pictures etc. I didn’t have to worry about anything and got a total local experience.
