Private Full Day Tour to Luxor from Cairo with Flight

Overview

Ancient Egypt’s two most critical sites, Luxor and Cairo, lie over 400 miles (644 kilometers) apart by road. But even if you’re pressed for time, you can still see the Valley of the Kings. This fantastic full-day private tour by plane checks off all of Luxor’s signature sites: the temples of Luxor, Karnak, and Hatshepsut, the Colossi of Memnon, and, of course, the majestic valley where Tutankhamun’s remains were found.

I feel honored to have visited the beautiful and historically significant city of Luxor. My guide, Egyptologist Ragab of Luxor Travel Day Tours, was incredibly educated and a wealth of information. As we visited the Valley of the Kings, Temple of Hatshepsut, and so many other sites, including the magnificent Karnak Temple, Ragab brought Egyptian history to life, with his wonderful storytelling and incredible grasp of the subject. For me, Karnak Temple was the highlight of the tour, and an experience I will never forget, as Ragab brought me to his favorite place in the temple, and allowed me ti

Treated like royalty on this private tour, one of the best things I have ever done. All went very smoothly from start to finish and communication was good when times changed slightly. Our guide Abdul was just amazing in particular with my Son who is 11 and had ADHD and OCD. He learned so much and we were so well looked after at all times. Highly recommend this tour.

I have traveled to more than 30 countries and have been on a number of Viator tours and they have all been excellent. This tour is extremely pricey, so I believe there is an expectation for certain things. So here are my points: 1. When the driver came to my hotel at 3AM in the morning for the early flight to Luxor, he didn't have a sign indicating what tour company he was with. The car was a piece of junk, banged up on the outside, clean but old in the inside. However, the wheel was rattling, there were no shocks on the car, so every bump felt like a speed bump going 60 miles an hour. The dri

This full day of touring was amazing, in part due to my guide, Omar. I was promptly met at the Luxor airport and from there had a full day of sightseeing enhanced by Omar's tremendous knowledge of the sites and engaging personality. Quite fluent in English, we were able to see all of the sites listed on the tour as well as two nearby optional temples to explore that were amazing. Highly recommend requesting Omar for this tour.

Very well coordinated. The tour guide Ragab had the knowledge but didn't seem particularly eager to share much of it, unfortunately. Still a nice guide but he didn't seem to enthusiastic. Must have been having a bad day.
