This day trip brings you to some of Egypt’s lesser-known natural and palaeontological sites, beginning at the dramatic Wadi El Rayen waterfall. Along the way you will explore the rugged slopes of El-Madawra Mountain and then head to Wadi El Hiten, where ancient relics dot the landscape. You will visit the Valley of Wheels, which contains fossils dating back around 40 million years, and learn more about the area’s past at the Wadi El Hiten museum. A sit-down lunch is included so you can refuel between sights. As the day moves on, you will see Magic Lake as the light changes at sunset and have the chance to try sandboarding on the nearby dunes for a short, active thrill. The trip finishes with a return to Cairo, leaving you with a range of geological and desert impressions from the day.
