A representative from Ancient Egypt Tours will collect you from your hotel in Aswan and take you to the train for the journey to Luxor. On arrival at Luxor station, your Egyptologist guide will meet you and begin the tour, taking you first to the West Bank to explore the Valley of the Kings. You will enter three royal tombs; entry to Tutankhamun’s tomb is optional and may require an extra fee. You will also visit Hatshepsut’s mortuary temple at Deir el-Bahari and see the Colossi of Memnon. After a lunch at a local restaurant, you will cross to the East Bank to visit the vast Karnak temple complex and the nearby Luxor Temple. Along the way your guide will share historical and cultural context to help you understand the significance of the sites. At the end of the day you will return to Luxor station and travel back to Aswan by train, with transfer to your hotel.
