Long day, glad I wasn't driving. Only a few people, so plenty of space to wonder and take photographs. Abydos only had about 12 people there total. No wonder, the road through the town is horrific.

This is a review in two halves. The good: we had the best guide of our trip here - hence the 3 stars. I came away with a solid understanding of both temples, ancient ceremonies and how to read and understand the iconography. The driver was also safe. The bad: this wasn’t a private tour. We were paired with another couple. While that wasn’t the issue, the fact that they were behind us by a hour was. We were driven to the first temple 20 miles under the speed limit to let the other couple catch up. The driver made serious tracks on the way back as a comparison. We then only had 15 mins of solo e

This tour was absolutely exceptional. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights and stories that enriched our understanding of each site. We were given ample time to explore and immerse ourselves in the experience. Although lunch wasn’t included, the restaurant he recommended turned out to be a delightful gastronomic adventure, serving dishes that were a feast for both the eyes and the palate. The places we visited were breathtaking, brimming with rich history and stunning artistry that captivated our senses. Despite the lengthy drive, we wholeheartedly recommend thi

We used Egypt private tours a few times on our trip. Ahmed was brill and the tour guides he had arranged were lovely and very informative. Made our trip and grateful for their hard work. Would use them again.

The driver and guide were very nice. The guide was knowledgeable and shared information about the two temples. I would like to make special mention of the driver who found my hat and some money and medication in the car that had been accidentally left behind. He organised a friend to deliver them to us. This is important because we had moved to Hurghada by that time and the driver went out of his way to find someone going to the new city so they could be dropped off. This is over and above what I would expect. I highly recommend both the guide and the driver but especially recommend the driver

This was an amazing trip. We visited Abydos and Dander, two temple sites near Luxor that were among the most beautiful we saw in Egypt, except that there were no crowds, and very few visitors at either. Our driver, Ahmed, took us through a dirt road to get to Abydos, which was stunning and devoid of visitors (a treat for us, since most of the sites had huge crowds waiting to view the historical monuments). Our tour guide, Ra, was extremely knowledgable about Egyptian history, as well as patient and friendly. He even stopped and got us drinks and fresh Egyptian bread from the roadside--deliciou
