This experience takes you through some of Luxor’s most iconic ancient sites, starting at Luxor Temple and moving on to the Valley of the Kings and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Along the way you will get all the explanation you need about ancient Egypt, and you will also see aspects of real-life Egyptian life in action as you travel between sites. You will visit Karnak Temple, the largest place of worship ever built, known in antiquity as Ipet‑isut, “the most sacred of places.” The complex grew over more than two thousand years under successive pharaohs, and its great Hypostyle Hall is an impressive forest of giant pillars. A trip to the west bank of the Nile in Luxor includes a view of the two enormous Colossi of Memnon, the colossal statues of Amenhotep III, which stand as striking reminders of the city’s ancient past.
