If you think you don't need a guide to show you around Cairo, you're completely wrong. The Citadel, the Hanging Church, the old museum—all were culturally rich and eye-opening. Our guide, Mahmoud, was knowledgeable and friendly. He is among the best we had during our entire trip in Egypt—something we only realized later after joining other local tours and having a fair comparison. If you decide to buy the Cairo Pass on your own, two things to note: first, we were told it was no longer on sale at the Old Museum (this information was never updated online), and that we could only get one near the
It was a good relaxing first day in Cairo. Good way to get out egypt vacation started. Ola was a very knowledgeable guide. Let us go at our pace and had extensive historical knowledge
Well recommended, we got what was advertised with timely service. We went to the Mohamed Ali mosque, the optic area, and the (original) Egyptian museum. Mohamed was a good guide. There was an offer to go into the higher quality stores (we went to 2 out of curiosity) and there was no (to little) pressure to buy. Lunch (koshary) was provided.
Our guide was on time picking us up and the tour lasted the full time it was advertised. Our guide was friendly, patient, occasionally funny, easy to understand and very knowledgeable. Our day went as planned and lunch was at a restaurant chosen by the guide. 5 stars also on the restaurant (called Galato) was Hussam's choice and food and service there were both excellent.
Ola was so knowledgeable! She really took the time to explain many prices in the museum and in the churches. Very friendly, you feel like family.
We had a most wonderful time at the Cairo Museum. Wael was a fountain of knowledge. The Citadel, Mosque and the Churches were incredible.
