Overview

This two-day, one-night Cairo package offers a private guided tour of Egypt’s most famous monuments and museums. On arrival you will be met and taken to explore the Giza Plateau, where the Great Pyramids (Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinos) and the Valley Temple sit beside the Sphinx. Lunch at a local restaurant is included. Later you will visit Sakkara to see the Step Pyramid built for King Zoser, then continue to ancient Memphis to view the colossal statue of Ramses II and the great Alabaster Sphinx. The day ends with a visit to Dahshur to see the Bent and Red Pyramids before returning to your hotel. On the second day you will visit the Egyptian Museum, home to over 250,000 artefacts and the Tutankhamun collection. You will also see the Citadel of Saladin and the Mohamed Ali (Alabaster) Mosque, whose design resembles the Blue Mosque in Turkey, followed by a stroll through the Khan El Khalili bazaars. Breakfast and a further lunch at a local restaurant are included, and transfer to Cairo International Airport is provided at the end. Optional add-ons may include a Nile dinner cruise, the Giza Sound & Light show, entry inside the Great or a small pyramid, and assistance with an Egypt entry visa.
