Our tourist guide was great ! He is very knowledgeable and he not only took us to the camel ride and the pyramids. We also went to a papyrus museum, a neckless local factory and a famous perfume store.

A fairly enjoyable couple of hours riding the camels in the desert areas around the Giza pyramid perimeter. if you expect to get up close to the pyramids on this trip...YOU WON'T! Although at one point, you are taken to an elevated point where the pyramids are visible in the background for a photo opportunity. Water is available at this point, but at your own expense. The guides were keen enough and eager to please, but also very keen on a massive tip. Mine suggested I give him $30! I gave him $10 but that was only because the camels looked like they desperately needed a meal. One word of warn

The tour was so eady for 2 new tourists.. Tonsi and his driver picked us up at the hotel with plenty of water and snacks for us. We were very luck to have Tonsi as our guide on our trip and we recommend him to everyone. He spoke excellent English and was so knowledgeable of current and ancient Egypt. He provided great education on the pyramids and the sphinx and ensured we had a fun and effortless camel ride.
