Overnight Trip To Cairo from Alexandria Port

Overview

A tour guide representative will meet you at your Alexandria hotel by the cruise exit door and transfer you to Cairo in a private air‑conditioned car. In Giza you will visit the pyramids, one of the seven wonders of the world, and view the Great Sphinx associated with King Chephren. You will also stop at Sakkara to see the step pyramids and visit Memphis, the first capital of ancient Egypt. You will spend the night in Cairo. After breakfast in your hotel, you will visit the Egyptian Museum to see pharaonic collections, including the treasures of Tutankhamun. You will then go to the Saladin Citadel and the Alabaster Mosque of Mohammed Ali. In Old Cairo you will explore historic religious sites such as the Hanging Church, the Abu Sirga Church and the Ben Ezra Synagogue, and you will visit the Amr Ibn El‑Aas mosque, known as the first mosque built in Egypt. The experience ends with a drive back to Alexandria port for your final cruise departure.
