Watching the sun rise over the desert peaks offers a quiet, atmospheric moment on this historic mountain. You will also visit St Catherine’s Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This is one of the oldest Christian monasteries in the world and is described as the world’s oldest working Christian monastery. The monastery was built around the site of the Burning Bush, and you will see the location associated with that tradition and the monastery’s ancient structures. As you move through the site, you will encounter a place of long religious and historical significance.
