After pickup from your hotel you drive inland to the safari base, gear up and set off across open desert on your own quad, following the guide through the sand with the Red Sea mountains standing out on the horizon. The route reaches a Bedouin camp where a camel waits for a short ride and the pace slows to the rhythm of the desert. As the light fades the dunes turn gold and the temperature drops, the ideal moment for photos before dinner. A Bedouin-style barbecue is served at the camp with sweet tea, and after dark the stargazing takes over — far from any town, the Milky Way arcs clear overhead.
