Marsa Alam sits on the Red Sea's wild southern coast, where the reefs are younger, healthier and far less crowded than those further north — and this full-day boat trip is built to enjoy them, whether you dive or snorkel. Leaving the coast in the morning, the boat anchors at two reef stops chosen for their coral and marine life, giving you unhurried time in the water at each. Certified divers head down with a guide for two boat dives over coral gardens, drop-offs and seagrass beds; snorkellers have the same reefs to explore from the surface, drifting over vivid hard and soft coral alive with reef fish. These southern waters are known for green turtles grazing the seagrass and, with luck, the shy dugong that feed here, along with the occasional passing ray. Between stops you relax on deck with the coast on the horizon and a freshly prepared lunch served on board. It suits mixed groups — divers and swimmers, families and couples — with crew on hand throughout and gear provided. Hotel transfers are arranged, so all you carry is a swimsuit, a towel and sun protection. First-time snorkellers are welcome, and divers should bring their certification card.

Itinerary

   Hotel pickup & departure

   Morning pickup from your Marsa Alam hotel and transfer to the boat, with a briefing before you head out to the reefs.

   First reef stop

   Anchor at the first reef for snorkelling from the surface or a guided boat dive over coral gardens and drop-offs, with plenty of time in the water.

   Lunch on board

   Return to the boat for a freshly prepared lunch on deck as it repositions to the second site.
