Luxor West Bank Tour – Valley of the Kings & Hatshepsut Temple

Overview

You will be picked up from your hotel in Luxor and transferred to the west bank to visit the Valley of the Kings. As you move through this ancient burial ground, you will see tombs of several pharaohs, including Tutmosis I, Tutmosis III, Tut-Ankh-Amon, Ramssess VI, Mrenptah and AmonhotepII. The site will give you a close look at the grandeur of the funerary architecture used for royal burials. After crossing to the east bank of Luxor, you will have lunch at a local restaurant before continuing to the Karnak Temples, the greatest example of worship in ancient Egypt, dedicated to the god Amon, his wife Mut and their son Khonsu. The tour will end with a visit to the Temple of Luxor, built by Amunhotep III in the 18th Dynasty of the New Kingdom and completed by Ramesses II during the 19th Dynasty. You will then be driven back to your hotel in Luxor.
