On this tour of Luxor’s West Bank you will begin at the Valley of the Queens, where many queens are buried. As you move through the site you will see the grandeur of the burial buildings and the atmospheric setting that surrounds these ancient tombs. You will also visit the mortuary temple of Pharaoh Ramses II, the Ramesseum. The site contains picturesque ruins, including a towering memorial statue of the king. Along the way you will stop at Medinat Habu, an archaeological locality at the foot of the Theban Hills on the West Bank of the River Nile, opposite the modern city of Luxor.
