We opted for a private tour because, with a 1 year old baby, we wanted to be fully in control of the pace and timing, being able to change plans on the go if needed, and we were not disappointed! We booked a guided tour of Luxor - Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple, Valley of the Kings and the Temple of Hatshepsut. Our tour guide Hamdy was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of information about every temple we visited. He answered all of our questions and helped us with many things, even bought us water. When we booked the private tour, we also got a private driver. Mahmoud was there with us, waiting in the car the whole day and he was exceptional. Overall, It was a memorable experience, and would definitely recommend this to my friend and faminily.
