During my two weeks' trip around the country this was my best tour. You people are lucky if you get as a guide Reda ELGendy and the driver Hazim. Thank you guys !
I could have definitely done without this. The guide was great and very knowledgeable. But it was very depressing and I felt constantly being asked for money because it is where the poorest of the poor live.

Zunächst scheute sich der insgesamt sehr freundliche ältere Führer, der stets Getränke und kleine Süßigkeiten zur Stärkung bereit hatte, wohl ein wenig, mir die Realität zu zeigen und wich etwas aus, dann kamen wir aber doch dorthin, wo die Menschen, die sich kein eigene Wohnung leisten können, in den Grabhäusern ihrer Verstorbenen auf dem Friedhof wohnen. Eine merkwürdige Atmosphäre zwischen Leben und Tod, aber sehr erlebenswert, zumal sich nur wenige Touristen dorthin verirren und man dadurch einen recht individuellen Eindruck des Lebens in Kairo bekommt.
