Half-Day Trip to Egyptian Green Farm from Cairo with Breakfast

This was a step back in time. The guide arranged for us to visit a local farming community where the families work the land and take produce to market on a daily basis. It was a world away from the hustle of the city even though the high-rises were there in the background. This was a great way to spend a morning.

I based my rating on the unique cultural experience of joining a family in their own natural environment, not on amenities or expectations. Our guide Omar and driver took us to an agricultural area where we joined a local farmer and part of his family for a large breakfast. We removed our shoes and sat on floor mats in the courtyard and ate community style with a variety of homemade foods. Afterwards we visited the stables and fields of crops. We made new friends and learned from this humbling experience. Advice to anyone interested: be brave, ask questions, ignore the flies, count your blessi

Vervoer goed geregeld en er is alles aan gedaan om dit tot een mooie ervaring te maken. Zelf meehelpen met brood en koekjes bereiden, heerlijke gerechten met allemaal ingrediënten van de boerderij en een rondleiding. Dit in een mooie rustige omgeving. De gids geeft uitleg over alles wat we willen weten.
