There was no visit to the Ben Ezra synagogue, which has been closed for about two years and is not yet open. The tour company should never have offered a tour to a major site that is closed. The tour guide tried everything in her power to make it a good tour, paying close attention to what I wanted to do, but she couldn’t open the closed synagogue. We had tea and a sweet at a local place. We tasted kashary at another local place. We went to a mosque and two churches. The guide was very punctual, messaged me on the exact hour of pick up time at the hotel. The guide explained a lot of things, from Christian history around Egypt to general facts about Egypt throughout the day. Weve also asked to be dropped off at the airport and he constantly checked the time and adjusted the itinerary to make the time work. I would highly recommend this tour and the guide.
