Présentation
Saint Simon the Tanner (St. Sama'an, in Arabic) lived towards the end of the tenth Century when Egypt was ruled by the Fatimid Caliph, Al- Muizz and Anba Abram was the Coptic Pope. At the time, the Copts (Christians) in Egypt were engaged in handicrafts. St Simon worked in one of the crafts widespread in Babylon (Old Cairo) which was tanning, a craft still known there till this day

Mina was our guide. He was very knowledgeable and complimented the Church guide. Excellent use of English which is very important! very nice church's I got learned about Coptic history and the rituals we passed through garbage city with close window , I saw local life .
Passeio muito ruim, desorganizado, feio, sujo, e a ideia da cidade do lixo é errada, vc passa no meio de um lixão, que dá medo do local e das pessoas e o guia não sabia nada, transmitia insegurança e desconhecimento .
