Half Day Guided Trip To old Egyptian Museum

Excellent tour. You really need a guide as there is no audio tour available and the guide knows what to show you of interest. I chose a tour without entrance fee included - might have preferred one with entrance fee included and then the guide would be the one to have to get the tickets - but it was a very quick queue so not a problem in the end.

Amr was a great tour host. He was extremely knowledgeable and authentic. Lots to take in at the museum so be ready… it’s much larger than it looks. Lots of mummies to see from Egyptian to French. Tons of history shared.

We had a great half day with Mahmoud El Wakeel at the museum. He picked us up on time, took us through the museum highlights and let us explore the Tutenkamun treasures and mummies at our leisure. Well organised and so easy! Highly recommend.

Maged is an excellent tour guide with a vast knowledge. Mohammed our driver did great. Both are highly recommended. If you want to get the most out your visit to the museum ask for them! Maged puts the artifacts in the Egyptian museum into a logical timeline and story that holds your attention. The half day tour went by so fast we wanted to stay longer but the museum closed. Other guides will not do the museum justice you need an expert. Make sure you ask for Maged!

Boosi our guide, gives wonderful explanations, answered any question. And certain rooms guide couldn’t explain things, so she would explain what in the room before we went in and was ready for all questions after we exited the room. She is wonderful and really knows her history, I would definitely recommend her to any friends or family that will come to Egypt. Thanks Boosi
