Overview

The ancient Egyptian sites of Luxor’s West Bank are so spread out that a tour is your only option. Beat the crowds with your own private guide and check off the highlights in just half a day: the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon, complete with temple excavations. Your tour includes snacks, bottled water, and round-trip private transfers but entrance fees are at your own expense.

It was a wonderful tour to the West Bank. I had a very good guide, a good car and a good driver. They came to hotel for pick up on time and the price was very good.

Timely transfers, guide: kind Bernadette who spoke Italian, everything was fine. Polite driver, perhaps the only downside was the stop at the alabaster factory, which was clearly aimed at sales. But even here, there was maximum discretion without the usual aggressive pressure.

The tour itself met expectations. The tour guide was pushy, deterring us from visiting too many tombs and kinda rushing us the whole time. I was recovering from an illness and also had my mom with me who needs time to get to places (hence booked the private tour so we can be at our own pace). If you would like to spend more time exploring the tombs, I would recommend not having a tour guide (private or not)

I had an amazing time guided by Mahmoud. A good balance of stories and independent time. Take the time to travel at your own pace, and marvel at the deep history.
