Visited the museum as part of pyramids and sphinx booked through Tui while staying in sharm. The whole day was fantastic, early pick up from hotel and taken straight through at the airport where we were met at Cairo airport, we had a private trip and glad we did, great experience with our guide shahinaz meday from Travco Tours who with a driver took us through Cairo, to the pyramids, sphynx then lunch at a top hotel before going to the museum, this place is huge, we had 2 plus hours however it could take a whole day getting to see everything on show, tutankhamen was awesome, statue of hatchets
I paid for an 8:30 am tour. A few weeks later the time was changed to a 9:30 pick up from hotel. This was totally unacceptable. Disappointed.
Mohammed provided the perfect tour of both the Civilisations museum and the Grand Egyptian Museum. Knew his way round and knew his stuff. Very informative. Interspersed with the perfect tea, coffee and lunch breaks. Could not recommend him more highly. Driver was a lovely man too. We laughed a lot!!
Communication was impossible. All of the emails I received with links to tickets, modifications etc were worthless as none of the links worked. I was not told that WhatsApp would be used for communication. It was not possible to contact anyone. The tour never took place but they charged me anyway. I would avoid at ALL costs and I travel a great deal. Less than one star. Abusive phone calls after no contact at all. Less than one star.
I was picked up at my hotel and dropped off at the main gate and told I'll see you in 2 hours. There was no guide. The museum itself is a 10 out of 10 and I really enjoyed exploring the museum at my own pace ALONE. I would've been better off just taking an Uber. The museum is such a great experience it overshadowed the poor performance of this tour operator. But there's no way I could recommend them.
