Overview

This is a private tour, including the main entrance tickets to the sights, lunch in a local restaurant and a camel ride at Giza. In the morning pick up from your hotel in Cairo and enjoy a visit to Sakkara. Here you have the chance to visit the Step Pyramid of Djoser, which is the first Pyramid built and it is the world's oldest stone structure. Later we drive to Memphis, the capital of the ancient kingdom and one of the most important cities throughout the history of ancient Egypt. Here we visit the mostly open-air Memphis Museum and see the fallen statue of Ramses II.. We break for lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon we drive to Giza and enjoy a camel ride. Then visit the Great Pyramids of Cheops, Chefren and Mycerinus and the enigmatic Sphinx. After the tour transfer back to your hotel.

Sometimes private transfers mean private with others but this wasnt the case. We were collected in our private mini bus an whilst driving was educated about Egyptian history which was really interesting. Giza was the first stop and busy but theres hop on hop off buses around so you can get about easily. We rode camels which was interesting! I’d probably tip the person taking you out when you get on if you’re fussy with pics as that part felt a little rushed (i really wanted me on a camel in front of the pyramids so asked them to be retaken and was obliged). Second set of pyramids were well wor
