This morning tour of the Giza plateau takes you to the Pyramids of Giza, giving you the chance to see the Great Pyramid of Giza — the only surviving wonder of the ancient world — alongside the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure. You will visit the Great Sphinx and the adjacent Valley Temple of King Khafre, where you can look closely at the Sphinx’s lion’s body and pharaoh’s head. Touring in the morning offers cooler temperatures and better light, and you’ll have time to take photos and hear insights from your guide as you move around this UNESCO World Heritage site. You will also visit the Grand Egyptian Museum, described as the largest museum in the world dedicated to a single civilisation. Note that the main museum is currently closed.
