Overview

You will visit the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx, taking in two of Egypt’s most recognisable ancient monuments. At Giza you’ll see the monumental pyramid structures and the sculpted Sphinx as you move through the plateau and learn about their place in Egypt’s history. The experience continues to the older Step Pyramid at Sakkara, then to Memphis, the first ancient capital of Egypt. Along the way you’ll explore these foundational sites that predate and contextualise the later Giza complex. Together they offer a close view of some of the greatest ancient sites near Cairo in one day, giving you a sense of Egypt’s long and layered past.
