Full Relaxing Day To The Red Sea From Cairo Or Giza Hotel

I have mixed reviews about this. I'll start with the positive - The drive there was scenic and perfect for a relaxing nap. Our tour guide (I forgot her name) didn't say much to us during our 1.5/2 hour commute there and back but that was fine. She offered us water but we already had some from our hotel. The driver was great, no road rage and drove at a nice pace. The resort was surprisingly quiet and not busy. This was an amazing day trip to the Red Sea from Cairo and the best way to cap off an amazing week exploring Egypt. I was lucky to be partnered with the most amazing tour guide Hakeim who helped guide me to the beach areas for relaxation and also went on a boat ride and did some snorkelling and deep sea swimming. Hakeim comes highly recommended as he is charming , nice , helpful , knowledgable about the area and aswell fun to talk to. He also takes great pictures as a bonus if you need some. Please do this tour with Hakeim you will have a memorable time and some great memories that will last a

The only good part was the beach is gorgeous. Our guide Hakeem, picked us up and introduced himself, then proceeded to put on his headphones, and intermittently looked up cars for himself on his phone or fell asleep for the almost 2 hour drive there. Would have loved to have had some sights pointed out or even been able to ask what they were. When we got to the hotel, he checked us in, gave us our seats and our towels. Didnt bother explaining the amenities/services available to us. He left us to go take selfies of himself and his friends. Not once were we checked up on. He however, had no issu

To start, there was no communication leading up to the tour besides the initial booking “confirmation”. I had to reach out to the company for them to confirm the tour. We had a hotel pickup from Cairo. The drive was about 2.5 hours. Very nice desert scenery drive. When we arrived, we were greeted by the “guide” who checked us into the hotel for the day and coordinated lunch. Please be advised that this is no 5,4,3, or even 2 star hotel. The property is pretty run down and old. Our room for the day seemed like it hadn’t been cleaned at all. No towels, barely any tissue, bed sheets were filthy.

There is definitely something special about swimming in the Red Sea that provides another great tour experience in Egypt. As an experienced traveler, I recommend this tour and as a travel agent, I recommend this to your clients. My friends/ clients really loved this experience.
