Full day transfer Luxor-Aswan over Esna, Edfu and Kom Ombo
A trusted partner experience, hand-picked and featured on This is Egypt.

Overview
You will visit three notable ancient sites along the Nile, beginning at the Esna Temple, dedicated to the ram-god Khnum. Inside, 24 columns support the ceiling with finely carved palm and lotus capitals. The roof is decorated with the Ancient Egyptian interpretation of constellations, moon phases and other astronomical figures. Along the way you may also see professionals at work on an ongoing restoration and cleaning project, which adds an extra layer of interest. Next you will explore Edfu Temple, one of the best-preserved shrines in Egypt. Its walls record details of the temple’s construction, the religious myths and the history of the god Horus. The final stop is the famous double temple dedicated to Haroeris (Horus the Elder) and Sobek. Here you can study remarkable wall scenes, including depictions of surgical instruments that look surprisingly like tools used today, and an ancient calendar showing hieroglyphic figures for the days of the month and the seasons. The visit also includes the Crocodile Museum, where mummified crocodiles found in the temple area are on display.
