Overview

On this private tour of Cairo’s religious landmarks, you’ll visit key Coptic, Islamic and Jewish sites with a qualified Egyptologist guiding you. Round‑trip hotel transfers and a local lunch are included. As you move through the city, you’ll explore a mix of ancient churches, a historic synagogue and some of Cairo’s most important mosques. You’ll learn how the Christian Holy Family is believed to have taken shelter at the site of Saints Sergius and Bacchus Church, then explore the Church of Saint Barbara and the Hanging Church, where gilded icons decorate the interior. You’ll enter an old Jewish synagogue built where baby Moses is said to have been found. Lunch at a local restaurant follows.
