Full-Day Tour to East and West Banks
A trusted partner experience, hand-picked and featured on This is Egypt.

Overview
In Luxor you’ll explore both sides of the Nile: the lively East Bank and the more tranquil West Bank. The East Bank is the living side of the city and the centre of modern life. Here you’ll encounter major ancient temples such as Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple set among hotels, markets and museums. As you move through this area, you’ll learn about the ancient association with life and worship and see how those traditions sit alongside everyday town life. Across the river, the West Bank is the land of the dead, where ancient Egyptians built tombs and mortuary temples. You’ll visit quieter, more reflective sites including the Valley of the Kings and the Valley of the Queens, and you’ll see the Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. Along the way you’ll gain a sense of the funerary beliefs that shaped these places and the contrast between the active worship on the East Bank and the funerary landscape on the West Bank.
