Full-Day Giza Pyramids and Egyptian Museum Tour

Overview

You will be picked up from your hotel and taken to the Giza plateau to visit the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus. As you move around the complex, you will proceed to see the Great Sphinx, which dates from the time of Chephren, and the nearby Valley Temple, which belongs to the pyramid of Chephren. Along the way you will learn about the site’s significance and have time to take in the monuments from different viewpoints. You will then have lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch you will visit the Egyptian Museum, which displays artefacts from the Pharaonic period. The museum shows a rare collection spanning some 5,000 years of art and is considered one of the largest and most precious collections of Egyptian art in the world. Over 250,000 genuine artefacts are presented, including an exhibit dedicated to the Tutankhamen collection of treasure, gold and jewellery that was enclosed in his tomb for more than 3,500 years before it was discovered in the 1920s. You will be returned to your hotel at the end of the trip.
